What dishes are you best known for?

Our counter is built around things pressed and tossed to order. Regulars come in for our paninis — the Caprese Melt, the Palermo and the Hoyas — and for wraps like the Georgetown Chicken and the Veggie Haven. The Greek salad and the gyro sandwich have been on the board for years, and our appetizers — hummus bi tahini, grape leaves and htipiti spread — travel well to a meeting.

What type of cuisine do you serve?

We are a Georgetown cafe with a Mediterranean heart: pesto spreads, feta and tzatziki alongside Turkish touches like sucuk and baklava. Day to day that means made-to-order sandwiches and salads, a full breakfast menu of eggs, bagels and smoked salmon, and espresso-bar coffee including Turkish coffee.

What services do you offer?

Beyond the counter, most of what we do is catering. We handle corporate catering and private event catering across the city, with lunch boxes and office lunch delivery for meetings that need to stay on schedule. Several of our marinated chicken wraps and paninis are halal options, so mixed groups are easy to feed.

What areas do you serve?

Our cafe sits at 3421 M St NW, in the middle of Georgetown, a short walk from the C&O Canal and the university. We cater throughout Washington, DC and across the river into Northern Virginia.

We brought our daughter to a Georgetown U admissions event and decided on Georgetown Gourmet for lunch. We ordered a Gyro sandwich, Fusion panini and Chicken Caesar wrap. All were delicious and came with a small bag of chips. The gentleman behind the counter also helped my daughter with a minor issue she had with her ... cell phone. Good food, nice atmosphere and great customer service!
